Bauchi Ymca Projects

Bauchi YMCA addresses a diversity of social issues, innovative programs that build the physical, mental and spiritual well being of the human person in various activities such as: camps, leadership training, youth conferences, talent shows, rallies, picnics, concerts, sports and lots more.

 I. Reproductive Health Activities

We facilitate Reproductive Health programmes for youth and adolescents, in Yelwa and sabon Kaura communities and enhancing leadership capacity of young people.

II. Vocational Training Center (Carpentry)

Artisan skills development for self reliance. The programme was established in 1980 to support the high rate of school dropouts. This programme is still relevant and offers certificate courses in carpentary & joinery.

III. Primary and Secondary Schools

Jointly managed with a private body, the YMCA provides the basic educational skills to support the educational development of young people in the state.

IV. Youth Democrary & Human rights programme

A NED supported project targeted towards developing leadership skills among youth and strengthening their understanding of the fundamentals of democrary and human rights.
